Arrow TwentyTwo {Commercial Shoot}

29 August 2018

Adrienne, the cute owner of Arrow Twentytwo, asked me to do a shoot of her upcoming fall line that will be posted soon to her website! I absolutely love working with Adrienne and we always find such fun girls to model for us!

We did this shoot at the awesome Station Studio in River Heights! I love shooting there! I love the versatility in the different areas to shoot, and love the beautiful and artsy natural light that comes through the windows and the cool garage door windows. The owners are the sweetest and so great to work with! Definitely keep them in mind when you are thinking of spots for your next photo session!

Back to Adrienne! She is a darling hardworking mom of 4 crazy cute kids. How she does it all, is beyond me! She runs this online boutique from her home, and does a pretty dang good job at it! It has been fun to see her business grow. It is something that she has wanted to do for a long time. Her grandpa used to own a store, so that is a goal of hers someday. Until then, she is contect running it out of her home so she can spend more time with her kiddos!

We know that fall is around the corner, so seriously…go check out her awesome website, www.arrow22.com and find you some “cute as heck” stylin’ clothes for the fall. The colors, the material, the style…ahhhh I love it all!

Thanks again to Sharli, Ciera and Abi for being our gorgeous models and game for becoming instant besties for the shoot!

Keep an eye out for these styles to hit her site, and you can also find her on Instagram at @arrowtwentytwo.

James + Heather { Engagements}

22 August 2018

I am so happy for Heather to be marrying the love of her life! I have known Heather since she was a Beehive, when they moved into our ward. Time flew and she graduated high school, served a mission in Las Vegas, Nevada and then headed to BYU-Idaho where she was introduced to James, by her cute friend who was also in our ward! He was serving in the same area that she was, and she thought Heather and James would hit it off..and they sure did!

When her mom, Chris messaged me about doing Heather’s wedding photos, I couldn’t be more excited! I had some things that were happening and life was crazy, but we were able to work it all out so that I could be there to photograph her big day!

I love how laid back Heather and James were during their shoot. They were just so cute and giddy in love, that I didn’t even really have to do a ton of posing. They just fell into place and we got such cute photos. They were even troopers and got in the cold water for a few.

They have such an awesome future ahead of them and I can’t wait to see it unfold. If their engagement session was any indication of the laughs and good times they will have, they are in for some fun!

The Beck Family

15 August 2018

This sweet family is one of my long time clients. I believe I have been doing their photos for about 8 years now! It has been so fun to see them grow over the years and be able to take their photos every summer. It is crazy to me that their oldest daughter is now heading into their senior year and she was 8 years old when we started!

Andy (the dad) was transferred to Taiwan several years ago, and so they come back to Utah to be with family for a couple of months each summer. It is fun to catch up with them and see what is new! Their youngest son, Andrew is a character and has me cracking up the entire shoot.  Their little Hannah’s hair is to die for and I love working to get that little giggle smile out of her every time! At least this year she didn’t get stung by a bee!

These kids are always so well behaved for their shoots, but they love to have fun as well! I love that! I love to see personalities come out during shoots with kids, and capture who they are and what makes them laugh! Andy and Belinda are so fun and kind, and they are doing an amazing job raising such an awesome family!

I cannot wait until next year to do their photos again!

Hello there!

13 August 2018

Hello there! I just wanted to introduce myself here on the blog! It's been a minute since I have last blogged, but I am here to change that! :)
I was born in Boise, Idaho and transplanted to Utah fourteen years ago! I cannot believe it has been that long. I met my husband online, (way back when it first started becoming a thing haha) I fell head over heals and moved to Cache Valley to marry him! We have been married for fourteen years now, and we have 3 kids (2 boys and 1 girl) who keep us crazy busy! We are a sports and dance family, and that's pretty much where you will find us, when I am not doing shoots.
I have always had a love for photography, and got my first job taking newborn pictures at a local hospital in Boise. When I moved to Utah, I worked at JC Penny Portraits, and to be honest..I didn't love it! Like at all! The people were fun, but the system that you had to follow to take photos wasn't. There wasn't a lot of room for creativity, and I tell you what....those little photo rooms got real hot real fast. So when my daughter was about 8 months old, I decided it was time to go for it and start a business. That was 10 years ago next month. So many crazy ups and downs and lessons learned and beautiful photos (and not so awesome photos) taken as I have learned the art of photography. The thing I love about it, is that it is something I can continually learn and grow from.

Photography has been an awesome creative outlet for me. What I love most is that is allows me the flexibility to be able to stay home with my cute kiddos, but also allows me to be able to do something I love! Some days (..lets be honest, months) can be a bit crazy, but my family is my biggest support group. I can honestly and truly say that I love my job. I love to meet new people and I have met so many awesome ones over the last 10 years. Clients have turned into friends and I have loved the wide variety of people it has brought me in contact with. I love being able to create memories for people to look back on, and be able to remember that day, that laugh, that joke that was told that got them all laughing.

As time goes on, and memories fade...a photo is all we have.
